Daedalus' Labyrinth

“One way or another, you find yourself inside Daedalus’ Labyrinth. Most would’ve expected it to be just a lot of ruins from thousands of years ago, but instead you get lost within a humongous cave system. Something feels off about this place, you think. Every time you walk from one cavern to another, it feels as if you had just traveled thousands of kilometers. Ruins of ancient civilizations are just a few steps away from giant magma lakes, European cemeteries, mysterious libraries, and so much more. And the creatures you find there are not the friendliest. Nor should they even exist. What awaits you in this Labyrinth? And will you be able to get out?”

Alright, so. This is my first time making a game on my own, and my first time working on a card game at that.

This is a single player card game. I wanted to go for an Adventure movie type of feel, the sort you'd find in something like Jumanji, Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Mummy, Indiana Jones and so on. You'll probably find many small references to these sorts of things in the cards! I also wanted it to be a solo adventure. The feeling of being lost, and finding amazing yet terrifying things along your were, some that may even be lethal, was a core concept when i came up with this idea.

The card game plays as a Roguelike game, with randomly-generated places to visit and randomly placed monsters in them as well. You fight Monsters that may be stronger or weaker depending on which Location type you're in, you get new items every time you clear a Location, and you fight from time to time a Boss Monster that will be harder to defeat than normal Monsters. That's the sort of game i went for

I am now working to make the cards better. I tested it out a lot in Tabletop Simulator, got feedback from players, and so this is like, version 1.3 you could say. Once i have a fine-tuned version i'll probably make it a full game in TTS and share it there for anyone to play. I may even print myself the cards to play at home.
